Audtions For Pride Pups: GayProv Comes to Wilton Manors

Posted on

You should always be looking for a way to say Yes.  A few months ago, Justin Bullard, a good friend of mine as well as an expert improviser, asked if I would help him put together an improv show to raise money for Sunserve;, a non-profit social service agency serving the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ) community in South Florida.  Thus, Pride Pups Gayprov is born!

David Gordon at Empire Stage is opening up his theatre to do a one time performance on June 29th at 8:30PM.  Empire is known to support many worthy productions that often support the {LGBTO} community as well.

The troupe will be performing a mix of sketch and improv that will be some of the edgiest material that Sick Puppies have been associated with.  I’m a proud puppy to be in a position to help our brothers and sisters that are just beginning to see some real support from communities outside of their own.

We are developing a troupe just for this performance.  Auditions will be held at:

Sunserve Office:: 2312 Wilton Drive, Wilton Manors, FL 33305.  9PM.  May 7th

No improv experience necessary, but it certainly helps.  You don’t have to be LGBTO to audition, but you also can’t be offended by ANYTHING.  If you are interested in auditioning, please send an email to  If you have a resume and a headshot, throw it out.  Just send us your name and phone number and that you’ll be there.  We are interested in people willing to learn, promote and have fun.  If you’ve taken Sick Puppies Classes in the past, that certainly helps!

Tickets for the show itself are on sale now!  Only 60 tickets available.  Get it while you can!
