Classes Start Again Wednesday, September 18th

Posted on

The Sick Puppies are back at it in the Showtime Performing Arts Theatre Wednesday Night.  We’ll be holding another round of Improvisational Acting Classes for beginning and intermediate improvisers.  It’s our level 2 class.  There are only three spots remaining so it’s imperative to register in advance.

This particular level focuses on “The perfect scene” where we will break down the four pillars of an improv scene:

  • Who are we to each other?
  • Where are we?
  • What do we want from each other? Or what are we doing?
  • How did we get here? Back story

Improv skills have become a requirement in the entertainment industry.  If you are an actor, comic or stage performer, these classes will take you to the next level.  Casting directors want to know that you can accept changes on the fly and be engaging without direction.

Improv is also a great skill to have in the professional world.  If you’re in sales, customer service or management, Improv will make you a better listener, quicker at reacting and help you empathize with those around you.  Ultimately, you’ll be better at your profession and have fun at the same time.

Classes start September 18th, Wednesday at 8pm and go until 10:30PM.  Classes will go for 7 weeks.  Your 7th class will be a showcase where you invite your friends and family members to see your work. Cost is $225 and your enrollment also allows free admission to Sick Puppies Shows and partnering improv troupes in South Florida.
